Xiaomi's new flagship SUV turns its cabin into a lounge, with swiveling seats, a drop-in table, and a camping trim hiding a fold-out roof bed.

Xiaomi has spent well over a year quietly working on a range-topping SUV, and the first real look at it has finally surfaced through a Chinese regulatory filing. The vehicle, badged N90, launches a fresh sub-brand called Sky Nomad, and it's clear from the first images that Xiaomi wanted this car to feel like nothing else currently wearing its logo.

Unlike the SU7 sedan or the YU7 SUV, the N90 skips any obvious family resemblance in favor of a boxy, upright silhouette designed to squeeze out as much cabin space as possible. A roof-mounted LiDAR unit sits up top for driver-assist duties, but the real story is what happens once you climb inside.

Interior schematics reveal that the front seats can rotate a full 180 degrees to face the second row, with a standalone table folding down between them to create something resembling a small conference room or dinette. Fold the third row flat alongside the second, and the space opens up enough to lay out a proper bed, with zero-gravity second-row chairs and an overhead screen that slides along the ceiling adding to the lounge-like vibe. Buyers can spec the N90 in either five- or seven-seat configurations, all wrapped in leather with plush trim throughout.

Then there's the camping edition, which takes things a step further. It rides slightly taller than the standard N90 to make room for a retractable roof section that pops up to reveal a sleeping platform, effectively giving the SUV a built-in loft bed for overnight trips without needing a tent or roof-rack accessory.

Dimensionally, the N90 stretches 208.1 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and 71.9 inches tall on a 121.3-inch wheelbase, putting it squarely against other Chinese full-size SUVs like the Li Auto 9, the AITO M9, and the Zeekr 9X. The camping version grows to 75.8 inches tall to accommodate that pop-up roof structure. Notably, this is also Xiaomi's first model built around a range-extender powertrain rather than a pure EV setup, a shift that broadens the brand's lineup beyond battery-only vehicles.

Under the skin, the N90 pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged range-extender engine making 150 hp with a dual-motor electric drive system producing a combined 282 hp up front and 134 hp at the rear. Xiaomi caps the top speed at 118 mph, while a 76 kWh battery is rated for 226 to 230 miles of pure electric range under the WLTC cycle. With the N90 expected to arrive later this year, it looks like Xiaomi is betting that buyers want their next SUV to double as a mobile hangout spot as much as a means of transport.
