Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition Celebrates 70 Years in Kuwait
Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition celebrates 70 years of the brand in Kuwait with a 20-car run inspired by traditional Sadu weaving.
Porsche is marking a major Middle Eastern milestone with a new limited-edition 911 created exclusively for Kuwait. The Porsche 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition celebrates 70 years since the brand’s arrival in the country and will be built in just 20 units.
The story goes back to 1956, when Morad Behbehani imported a Porsche 356 Cabriolet to Kuwait, making it the first Porsche sports car brought to the Middle East. Seven decades later, Behbehani Motors Company remains Porsche’s official importer in Kuwait, and this special edition has been developed to honor that long connection.
The car is based on the latest 992.II-generation 911 Turbo S, but its identity comes from details inspired by Sadu, one of Kuwait’s most important traditional crafts. Sadu weaving is known for its geometric patterns and cultural symbolism, and in 2020 it was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Zuffenhausen applies the special finishing touches near the 911 production line. The exterior is finished in Cremewhite, paired with the SportDesign Package in high-gloss black. The 20/21-inch Sport Classic wheels are painted in Cremewhite and high-gloss black, while the bonnet and wheels use the colored Porsche crest instead of Turbonite detailing.
Other exterior features include an Exclusive Design fuel filler cap, titanium sport tailpipes, an electric glass sunroof, front-axle lift and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes with high-gloss black brake calipers.
The most distinctive work is inside. The Sports Seat Plus seats use a new Sadu-pattern textile in Bordeaux Red, Guards Red, GT Silver and Black, with the same fabric also applied to the door panel centers. The headrests feature “70 Years” embossed in Arabic script.
The cabin mixes black and Bordeaux Red leather with GT Silver stitching. The GT sports steering wheel gets a Bordeaux Red 12 o’clock marker, a colored Porsche crest and smooth black leather. The center console lid is trimmed in Bordeaux Red leather with hand-stitched GT Silver cross-stitching and an embossed Exclusive Manufaktur logo.
The theme continues through smaller bespoke details, including the vehicle key, key case and owner’s manual wallet. The black brushed-aluminum door sills feature 20 illuminated square elements, with the seventh square highlighted in red to symbolize 70 years of Porsche in Kuwait and the 20-car production run.
A Burmester High-End Surround Sound System is fitted as standard, along with a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial and black digital tachometer. Silver Grey seat belts contrast with the predominantly red interior.
The 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition is not about mechanical changes, but about cultural detail and market-specific craftsmanship. With only 20 cars planned and availability limited to Kuwait, it stands as one of the most regionally focused Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur editions to date.
