Nissan Elgrand Expands With New Autech and VIP Versions

Nissan is widening the lineup of the fourth-generation Elgrand with two more upscale variants developed by Nissan Motorsports and Customizing. The new versions are aimed at buyers who want either a more distinctive exterior or a more luxurious passenger-focused cabin.

The first addition is the Elgrand Autech, which gives the full-size van a more expressive appearance without changing its basic design. The styling package includes silver lower trim on the front and rear bumpers, along with additional accents positioned ahead of the rear wheel arches.

Autech models also receive exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels with their own design. Buyers can additionally choose Deep Ocean Blue, a rich dark-blue metallic paint created to emphasize the van’s more premium character.

The cabin upgrade is focused on comfort. The Elgrand Autech can be fitted with Nappa leather upholstery, while the second row gets more supportive comfort seats with extendable leg rests. This keeps the model close to the luxury-MPV formula that remains especially popular in Japan and other Asian markets.

Nissan Motorsports and Customizing has also prepared an even more passenger-oriented version called Elgrand VIP. It adds individual second-row captain’s chairs, Nappa leather trim, rear entertainment screens and illuminated side steps to make entry and exit easier.

The new variants build on the fourth-generation Nissan Elgrand, which debuted in October 2025. Compared with the previous E52-generation model, the new van is larger and uses an active suspension system that adjusts damping at each wheel depending on road conditions.

The latest Elgrand is powered by a series-hybrid setup. Its gasoline engine, the ZR15DDTe, works together with a compact “5-in-1” electric drive unit that combines the traction motor, generator, inverter, reducer and transmission. All-wheel drive is standard.
