Lotus Eletre X Opens Orders in Europe With 952 PS Hybrid Power
Lotus Eletre X adds a new plug-in hybrid architecture to the Hyper-SUV lineup, offering up to 952 PS, 350 km of EV range and more than 1,200 km combined.
Lotus has opened mainland European orders for the Eletre X, a new plug-in hybrid version of its large performance SUV. The model introduces the brand’s new X-Hybrid architecture and is aimed at buyers who want electric driving for daily use without giving up long-distance flexibility.
The Eletre X will be offered in two versions. The entry H550 starts from €96,990, while the flagship H1000 starts from €119,990. Deliveries in mainland Europe are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, with UK deliveries planned for summer 2027 after right-hand-drive homologation.
Unlike a conventional plug-in hybrid, the Eletre X uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine mainly as part of an onboard generation system. The generator produces up to 150 kW, continuously replenishing the battery during longer journeys or sustained high-load driving.

The system is built around a 70 kWh battery, a 900-volt architecture and dual electric motors. Lotus claims up to 350 km of electric-only range and more than 1,200 km of combined WLTP range. Fast charging is also a major part of the package: the battery can charge from 20 to 80 percent in about 9 minutes on a 350 kW DC charger.
The H550 produces 550 PS, while the H1000 raises output to 952 PS and 935 Nm of torque. The top version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches 0–200 km/h in 11 seconds. Even with the battery at a low state of charge, Lotus says the system is designed to maintain strong performance.
The Eletre X also keeps the chassis hardware expected from a Lotus SUV. It uses double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear axle, dual-chamber air suspension and adaptive dampers. The H1000 adds 48V active anti-roll control, while Brembo brakes and custom Pirelli P Zero 5 LTS tires are designed to support repeated high-speed use.

Aerodynamics remain part of the Eletre identity. The body uses Lotus’ “porosity” approach, guiding air through and around the vehicle, while the active rear spoiler can generate up to 120 kg of downforce under braking.
Inside, the Eletre X gets slim digital displays, Lotus Hyper OS infotainment, physical controls for key functions and a head-up display. Available equipment includes a 23-speaker KEF audio system, 30 perception sensors, NVIDIA Thor computing hardware and sustainable materials such as Wyron Truecycled textile.
The SUV measures 5,103 mm long, 2,019 mm wide and 1,636 mm tall, with a 3,019 mm wheelbase. Depending on version, DIN weight is listed at 2,550 kg for the H550 and 2,615 kg for the H1000.
For Lotus, the Eletre X is not just another powertrain option. It signals a broader multi-powertrain strategy, combining EV performance with combustion-backed range for buyers who are not ready to rely entirely on charging infrastructure.
