Škoda Epiq Debuts as the Brand’s New Entry-Level Electric SUV
Škoda Epiq becomes the brand’s most affordable electric model, bringing compact SUV practicality, front-wheel-drive MEB+ hardware and up to 440 km of range.
Škoda is expanding its electric lineup downward with the new Epiq, a compact electric SUV designed to make the brand’s EV range more accessible. Positioned as Škoda’s most affordable fully electric model, the Epiq will serve as the entry point below the Elroq and Enyaq. In many markets, Škoda says the base version should be priced close to the combustion-powered Kamiq, making it a key model for buyers moving into electric cars for the first time.
The Epiq is also important from a technical standpoint. It is the first Škoda production model based on the new MEB+ platform and the brand’s first electric vehicle with front-wheel drive. This architecture was developed for smaller, lighter and more efficient compact EVs, and will also underpin other Volkswagen Group models such as the Volkswagen ID. Polo, ID. Cross and Cupra Raval.
Visually, the Epiq introduces Škoda’s Modern Solid design language in full production form. The front end is defined by a glossy black Tech-Deck Face and slim T-shaped headlights, a light signature that will later spread to other Škoda SUV models. The rear follows the same minimalist theme, with T-shaped taillights framing the Škoda lettering.

Despite its entry-level positioning, the Epiq is not especially tiny. It measures 4,171 mm long, 1,798 mm wide and 1,581 mm tall, with a 2,601 mm wheelbase. Aerodynamics were also a priority: active cooling shutters, air curtains, optimized wheels, underbody panels and rear aero elements help achieve a drag coefficient of 0.275.
Inside, the Epiq focuses on practicality rather than visual drama. The cabin uses a clean layout, intuitive controls and recycled materials. The main display is a 13-inch Android-based infotainment system, with access to apps such as Spotify, YouTube and Google Maps. A mobile digital key is also planned through a future software update.
Cargo space is one of the model’s strongest points. The rear luggage compartment holds 475 liters, placing it among the largest in its class, while a 25-liter frunk will be added later in production. Additional storage areas throughout the cabin provide more than 28 liters of space, reinforcing Škoda’s traditional focus on everyday usability.

The Epiq will be offered in three versions: Epiq 35, Epiq 40 and Epiq 55. The two lower variants use a 37.5 kWh net LFP battery and produce 85 kW or 99 kW, both with 267 Nm of torque and around 310 km of range. The top Epiq 55 uses a 51.5 kWh net NMC battery, producing 155 kW and 290 Nm, with range of around 440 km.
Fast charging is another key selling point. The Epiq 55 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes, while all versions come with 11 kW AC charging. The model also supports bidirectional charging, including V2L, V2H and V2G, depending on compatible infrastructure.
For the first time in a Škoda EV, the Epiq also offers full one-pedal driving in B mode. Regeneration intensity can be adjusted, making the car easier to control in city traffic and helping recover energy more efficiently.

Safety equipment is extensive for a small electric SUV. Standard systems include Front Assist, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert and Exit Warning, Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Predictive Speed Limiter and driver monitoring. Seven airbags are standard, including a center airbag. Optional Travel Assist 3.0 can respond to traffic lights and stop the car when needed.
Shortly after launch, Škoda will introduce a limited Epiq First Edition. It will be based on the Selection trim but paired exclusively with the strongest Epiq 55 drivetrain. The First Edition will stand out through Navajo Orange exterior accents, a black roof, exclusive 20-inch wheels, orange interior stitching and orange seat belts.
With the Epiq, Škoda is clearly targeting buyers who want a small electric SUV without giving up luggage space, useful equipment or familiar brand practicality. It is not just a cheaper EV, but a strategic model that will help double Škoda’s all-electric range together with the upcoming Peaq.
