INEOS Grenadier Trialmaster X Arrives as the New Range-Topper

INEOS has introduced a new flagship version of the Grenadier called the Trialmaster X. The model is designed for buyers who want the most capable and best-equipped Grenadier without having to build it from a long options list.

The new specification combines two existing characters from the Grenadier range. It keeps the rugged off-road focus of the Trialmaster, but adds comfort, convenience and interior upgrades usually associated with the more lifestyle-oriented Fieldmaster. As a result, INEOS positions the Trialmaster X as the most complete version of the Grenadier so far.

The package is available for both body styles: the Grenadier Station Wagon and the Quartermaster pick-up. In the UK, prices start at £75,195 for the Station Wagon and £75,010 for the Quartermaster.

Visually, the Trialmaster X gets its own badging and comes in Scottish White as standard. Three other exterior colors are offered: Devil Red, Magic Mushroom and Donny Grey. Buyers can also choose a contrast roof finished in either Inky Black or Scottish White.

The off-road hardware is the main reason this version sits at the top of the lineup. Standard equipment includes front and rear locking differentials, BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires, 17-inch alloy wheels, high-load electrical preparation and a raised air intake. An integrated front winch with a 5.5-tonne capacity is also available as part of the adventure-focused equipment set.

INEOS has also added practical touring features. The Trialmaster X includes safari windows, privacy glass, a lockable storage box mounted in the spare wheel and a standard tow ball. The Grenadier’s towing and load-hauling focus remains intact, with a 7-tonne gross train weight.

Inside, the Trialmaster X is more comfortable than the standard off-road-focused models. Equipment includes black or two-tone grey-and-black leather upholstery, heated front seats, a premium audio system and carpet floor mats. The idea is to make the Grenadier more refined for long-distance touring while keeping its utilitarian character.

For markets where fuel quality can be an issue, INEOS will continue to offer a petrol fuel filter and diesel water separator. This keeps the Trialmaster X aligned with the Grenadier’s original purpose: a tough, long-distance 4x4 built for difficult conditions.
