Ferrari Purosangue Handling Speciale sharpens the V12 crossover with revised suspension tuning, faster shifts and a more dramatic exhaust note.

Ferrari has introduced a new special version of the Purosangue aimed at buyers who want the brand’s four-door V12 model to feel even more responsive. Called the Purosangue Handling Speciale, it does not change the core formula of Ferrari’s high-riding grand tourer, but focuses on chassis calibration, transmission behavior and sound.

The Purosangue was a major step for Ferrari when it arrived four years ago, opening a new segment for the marque and immediately creating heavy demand. Orders quickly became difficult to secure, with waiting times stretching far into the future. Now, rather than launching a full facelift, Ferrari has chosen a more targeted update with a special edition.

Visually, the Handling Speciale keeps the Purosangue’s familiar proportions but adds darker detailing. The front-fender shields, rear badge and matte exhaust tips are finished in black. The easiest way to identify the model, however, is by its new wheel design: 22-inch wheels at the front and 23-inch wheels at the rear, with a black finish and diamond-cut contrast edges.

The cabin receives a more exclusive treatment as well. Special plaques identify the version, including one placed between the rear seats and others integrated into the carbon-fiber door sills. Ferrari has also added carbon trim with a black-and-red weave, giving the interior a stronger performance theme.

The main changes are mechanical. Ferrari engineers have recalibrated the active suspension to reduce body movement by 10 percent. The goal is to keep the tires more consistently loaded during aggressive cornering, making the Purosangue feel more precise and stable at high speed.

The engine remains unchanged. The Handling Speciale uses the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter F140 V12, producing 725 hp and 716 Nm. It is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission mounted at the rear and Ferrari’s 4RM all-wheel-drive system.

Performance figures are also identical to the regular Purosangue: 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h. Ferrari has still made the driving experience more intense by recalibrating the exhaust system for a louder sound and updating the gearbox software for quicker shifts in the most aggressive Race and ESC-Off modes.

The Purosangue is already one of Ferrari’s most expensive series-production models, with prices in Italy starting from around €390,000. The new Handling Speciale raises that figure to about €430,000, before the usual personalisation options.
