Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Gets a More Powerful F1 Collector Series Edition
Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series celebrates GM’s Formula 1 entry with more power, manual-only hardware and a track-focused chassis package.
Cadillac is marking General Motors’ arrival in Formula 1 with a special version of its most extreme sedan. The new CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series turns the already aggressive Blackwing into an even more focused limited-run model, combining extra power with track-ready hardware and Formula 1-themed details.
The main upgrade is under the hood. Cadillac’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 has been fitted with a revised blower developed with input from GM Motorsports. Output rises from 677 hp and 893 Nm to 695 hp and 911 Nm, making this the most powerful member of the CT5-V Blackwing family. The engine also gets a special decorative cover with F1 branding.

Unlike the regular CT5-V Blackwing, which can be ordered with a ten-speed automatic, the F1 Collector Series is available only with a six-speed Tremec manual transmission. Power continues to go exclusively to the rear wheels.
To match the stronger engine, Cadillac includes the Precision Package as standard. This adds carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin summer performance tires and suspension settings revised for circuit use. The result is a version of the CT5-V Blackwing aimed more directly at track driving than the standard car.

The exterior treatment is deliberately dark and restrained. The F1 Collector Series is offered only in black, with matching black wheels. Even the brake calipers are finished in grey to keep the monochrome look intact. The body also carries Formula 1 and FIA logos, reflecting Cadillac’s new connection with the championship.
The same theme continues inside. The cabin is trimmed in black leather with contrasting silver stitching. F1 logos appear on the front-seat headrests, while the manual gear knob carries an F1 medallion. A nearby carbon-fiber insert features FIA branding, and the door sills display the name and logo of Cadillac’s factory Formula 1 team.

Production will be extremely limited. Cadillac plans to build only 26 units of the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series. Pricing has not been announced, but it will certainly sit well above the standard CT5-V Blackwing, which starts at around $99,000.
