Bentley Bentayga EWB Chalet Edition Reimagines the SUV as an Alpine Retreat

Bentley has unveiled a new limited bespoke version of the Bentayga EWB developed with The Gstaad Guy, turning the long-wheelbase luxury SUV into what is essentially a rolling interpretation of an upscale mountain chalet. The project was carried out through Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house coachbuilding and personalization division.

Rather than chasing flashy exclusivity, the Chalet Edition leans into a quieter kind of luxury. The idea was to capture the atmosphere of refined Alpine living — warm materials, subtle craftsmanship and a cabin designed to feel more like a private lounge than a conventional rear-seat SUV.

The car is based on the Bentayga EWB Azure, which means comfort and wellness were already central to the package before the bespoke touches were added. Inside, the Chalet Edition uses a four-seat layout with rear comfort-focused seating and a center console between the back passengers.

Its interior theme revolves around warmth and texture. Bentley combines Saddle leather, tweed accents, diamond quilting and Liquid Amber open-pore wood veneers to create a space that feels relaxed and cocooning rather than showy. Fireglow highlights add a little extra depth, while Saddle-colored speaker grilles integrate the Naim for Bentley audio system into the design.

The Gstaad Guy’s personal influence is present, but handled discreetly. His emblem and a chalet-themed graphic appear through laser etching and subtle badging on the seats and fascia. An Alpine flower motif, chosen as a nod to Swiss heritage and family values, is embroidered onto the headrests and cushions in red and green. Personalized animated welcome lamps add another custom touch when entering the vehicle.

The exterior follows the same understated approach. The body is finished in Light Tudor Grey, a bespoke hand-sprayed color that Bentley says takes around 60 hours to complete. Bronze detailing and a Fireglow pinstripe on the lower trim add contrast without making the SUV look overstated. Chalet Edition badging on the front wings and unique treadplates complete the package.

Bentley has also prepared optional accessories for owners who want to extend the theme into the luggage compartment. These include bespoke Saddle leather boot protectors with Fireglow binding and Alpine embroidery, aimed at buyers who may use the vehicle for ski trips as easily as coastal weekends.

In essence, the Bentayga EWB Chalet Edition is less about performance or dramatic styling and more about creating a very specific mood. It is Bentley’s interpretation of discreet, experience-led luxury, shaped around the tastes of a personality closely associated with that world.
