Aston Martin Marks a Quarter Century of V12 Vanquish With a 50-Unit Farewell Edition

Aston Martin doesn't need fireworks to make a statement, and its newest special edition proves it. To mark 25 years since the V12 Vanquish first debuted, the British marque has created the Vanquish 25, a strictly limited run built entirely through its bespoke Q personalization arm.

The numbers tell the story of exclusivity: just 25 Coupes and 25 Volantes, for a total of 50 cars worldwide. Every single one begins life as a custom commission through Q, meaning no two examples are likely to leave the workshop identical, even within such a small production run.

Rather than chase attention with track-focused styling or aggressive aero addenda, Aston Martin took the opposite approach. From a distance, the Vanquish 25 could pass for a standard Vanquish. Look closer, though, and the details start to add up - a bespoke Q Skye Silver finish with metal foil accents along the side shields and shield vanes, unique badging, freshly designed 21-inch forged wheels, and reworked tailpipes.

Step inside and the anniversary treatment continues with laser-etched trim inlays, a red engine start/stop button, a black Alcantara headliner, and Vanquish 25 embroidery stitched into the seats. It's a curated, understated approach to celebrating a milestone rather than a full visual overhaul.

Mechanically, nothing has changed - and there was little reason to tinker. The 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 still sends 823 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) to the rear wheels, enough to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h). Aston Martin clearly decided the car's performance credentials needed no reinforcing, focusing this edition purely on craftsmanship and heritage instead.

The Vanquish 25 will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week next month, with customer deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year. Pricing has not yet been announced, though given the rarity and bespoke nature of the build, it's unlikely to come cheap.

Vittorio Gabba, head of Q at Aston Martin, framed the project as a tribute rather than a reinvention: the goal, he said, was to honor the Vanquish nameplate's 25-year legacy through a thoughtfully assembled set of exterior and interior touches, rather than a dramatic transformation of the car itself.
