3rd generation

The third-generation Toyota Tundra (XK70), launched for 2022, marks a major overhaul of Toyota's full-size pickup. Gone is the veteran V8, replaced by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 offered in standard and hybrid i-Force MAX form, delivering stronger torque and improved towing capacity up to roughly 12,000 pounds. The platform switches to a coil-spring rear suspension in many trims, sharpening ride quality versus leaf springs. Inside, a widescreen touchscreen up to 14 inches anchors a modernized cabin with available multi-terrain selectors, crawl control, and upscale trims like Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, Capstone, and the off-road-focused TRD Pro. Available in regular, double, and CrewMax cabs with varying bed lengths, the Tundra competes directly with the F-150, Silverado, and Ram 1500, blending Toyota reliability with genuine towing and off-road credibility for buyers wanting a full-size truck built to last.
