The Toyota Mark II was a mid-size rear-wheel-drive sedan produced from 1968 through the early 2000s, serving as a step-up model between the Corona and Crown in Toyota's Japanese lineup. Known for its comfortable ride, upscale trim, and range of inline-four and inline-six engines, the Mark II built a reputation for reliability and understated luxury, appealing to businessmen and families alike. Later generations gained popularity in tuning and drift circles thanks to their sturdy RWD chassis and turbocharged straight-six options. Eventually rebranded as the Mark X, the Mark II remains a respected nameplate reflecting Toyota's engineering consistency and long-standing appeal in the JDM market.
