Saturn Corporation was a subsidiary of General Motors (GM), launched in the 1980s as a bold, innovative attempt to compete with the rise of Japanese imports in the U.S. auto market. Saturn became known for its “no-haggle pricing,” unique dealer experience, plastic body panels, and an almost cult-like fanbase — but it ultimately couldn’t survive GM’s restructuring.
