Ruf Automobile GmbH is a German car manufacturer renowned for producing high-performance vehicles based on Porsche chassis. Though often mistaken as a tuning company, Ruf is officially recognized as a manufacturer, not just a tuner — every Ruf car carries its own VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and is registered as a Ruf, not a Porsche.
