Pontiac was an American automobile brand that was a division of General Motors (GM). It was known for producing a range of cars, from affordable family vehicles to performance-oriented muscle cars. Pontiac had a significant influence on the American car industry, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s, when it became synonymous with muscle cars and high-performance vehicles. However, the brand was eventually discontinued in 2010 as part of GM’s efforts to streamline its portfolio and focus on more profitable divisions.
