The Nissan Dayz is a Japanese kei car built through Nissan's alliance with Mitsubishi, sharing its platform with the Mitsubishi eK Wagon. Launched in 2013, it targets the compact, efficient microcar segment popular in Japan, powered by a 660cc turbocharged or naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine paired with a CVT. Despite its tiny footprint dictated by kei-car regulations, the Dayz offers surprisingly spacious interiors, tall-roof practicality, and modern conveniences like automatic braking, around-view monitors, and touchscreen infotainment. A Dayz Highway Star variant adds sportier styling. Efficient, affordable, and easy to park, it remains a staple choice for Japanese urban and rural drivers alike.
