Nichols Cars is a British low-volume sports car company founded by former McLaren Formula 1 engineer Steve Nichols, best known for his work on the legendary McLaren MP4/4. Its first model, the Nichols N1A, is a lightweight road-legal track car inspired by the 1960s McLaren M1A Can-Am racer, using carbon/aluminum construction, rear-wheel drive, a manual gearbox, and naturally aspirated Chevrolet V8 power.
