Mini, founded in 1959 as the Morris Mini-Minor by the British Motor Corporation, redefined small cars with its space-saving transverse engine and cheeky design. Revived by BMW in 2001 after the original ended in 2000, Mini blends retro charm with modern tech, targeting urban drivers who crave fun and customization. Headquartered in Oxford, UK, it’s a premium sub-brand under BMW Group, producing about 245,000 vehicles yearly (2024 data). In 2025, Mini’s lineup emphasizes bold styling, electrified options, and go-kart handling, competing with Fiat 500, VW Golf, and premium compacts like Audi A1.
