Germany

Maybach is a German luxury marque synonymous with opulence, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. Founded in 1909 by Wilhelm Maybach and his son Karl, it originally built engines for Zeppelins and later luxury cars. After a hiatus, it was revived by Mercedes-Benz (then DaimlerChrysler) in 2002 as a standalone brand to rival Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Struggling with sales, it was restructured in 2012 as Mercedes-Maybach, a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz, focusing on ultra-luxury variants of Mercedes models. Now under Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Maybach operates from Stuttgart, Germany, blending cutting-edge tech with bespoke customization.
