The MG 07 is a mid-size sedan introduced for the 2026 model year, expanding MG's passenger car lineup with a design-forward, value-oriented offering. Positioned above the brand's compact models, it blends sleek, coupe-inspired styling with a spacious cabin and modern infotainment technology, reflecting MG's push toward more sophisticated, tech-laden vehicles under SAIC ownership. Expect efficient powertrain options, potentially including hybrid or electrified variants alongside conventional engines, aimed at competitive running costs. As part of MG's global expansion, the 07 targets buyers seeking practical, well-equipped saloon motoring with contemporary safety features and connectivity, continuing the brand's strategy of offering strong value without sacrificing style or driving refinement.

MG, founded in 1924 in Oxford, UK, was famous for sporty roadsters like the MGB. Acquired by China’s SAIC Motor in 2007 after financial struggles, it’s now headquartered in Shanghai with global operations, including design in London and manufacturing in China, Thailand, and India. MG focuses on affordable, tech-laden vehicles—EVs, hybrids, SUVs, and compact cars—competing with Hyundai, Kia, and Suzuki. In 2025, MG emphasizes electrification and value, with strong sales in Europe, Australia, and India (5,500 units sold in India in March 2025, up 9% year-over-year).
