6th generation

The sixth-generation Ford Bronco, launched in 2021 after a 25-year hiatus, revives Ford's rugged off-roader as a direct rival to the Jeep Wrangler. Built on a body-on-frame platform shared with the Ranger, it's offered in two-door and four-door forms with removable doors, roofs, and fold-down windshields on many trims. Power comes from turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engines, paired with manual or automatic transmissions and standard four-wheel drive. Trims range from base models to the trail-focused Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and extreme Raptor performance variant. Advanced off-road tech includes locking differentials, disconnecting sway bars, and multiple terrain modes. Designed for serious trail capability alongside daily livability, the Bronco has become a genuine cultural and commercial success for Ford's off-road lineup.
