FSO (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych) was a Polish automobile manufacturer founded in 1951 in Warsaw. It became known for producing affordable passenger cars under communist-era Poland, including the Warszawa, Syrena, Polonez, and Polski Fiat 125p. After Poland’s transition to a market economy, FSO entered partnerships with foreign automakers, including Daewoo. Passenger car production ended in 2011.
