
Barkas

Barkas was an East German manufacturer renowned for producing small delivery vans and minibuses, primarily the B1000 model, from 1961 until 1991. The company was established by merging a large engine manufacturing plant with the Framo truck and van factory during 1957/58. The combined facilities were located in Chemnitz (formerly Karl-Marx-Stadt), East Germany.
