Ashok Leyland is an Indian multinational company that specializes in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles. Founded in 1948 as Ashok Motors, the company became Ashok Leyland in 1955 after a collaboration with the British company Leyland Motors. Today, Ashok Leyland is the second-largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in India, with a 32.1% market share, and is also the third-largest bus manufacturer in the world.
